Glamour Photography Workshop

Join a team of photographers and two models on a practical workshop in Majorca for a refreshing look at glamour photography, as they explore both classical and experimental approaches. Starting off with a look at the equipment required for a glamour shoot, the authors also offer practical advice on searching for suitable models. The pictures produced during the workshop describe the whole process, and compositional considerations are covered next - the possibilities of camera format and location, and how to frame a figure to achieve different effects. The first practical session has the participants outdoors, choosing locations at the pool, on the beach, and in the landscape. The second session sees the team setting up an indoor studio, and gives examples of what can be achieved through the positioning of lighting and reflectors, and the use of ambient light. The final chapter discusses what can be done with the images once they have been shot, examining the range of options with slide film, print film and digital media.
