This book covers the major currents in American pharmacy history since 1852, when APhA was founded. Over 300 photos in 48 chapters provide a pictorial history of American pharmacy through the eyes of APhA. Appendices list all APhA Annual Meetings, Presidents, and leaders from 1852 to 2002. The book's editor, George B. Griffenhagen, is known internationally in the pharmacy field, has authored more than a dozen books on pharmacy history and pharmaceutical philately, and is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including the Remington Honor Medal.
